Role in AIMS-2-TRIALS

In collaboration with our AIMS-2-TRIALS colleagues at King’s College London (KCL), we will be investigating the clinical and neurocognitive profiles of families with rare genetic variants associated with neurodevelopmental disorders including autism spectrum disorder (ASD). We will be looking at the DNA of our participants, we will gather information about their brain activity using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and electroencephalography (EEG), and we will learn about their cognitive abilities using eye-tracking techniques and clinical assessments. We aim to identify different sub-groups of individuals with common features of ASD, which we hope will help in the development of new therapeutic and diagnostic strategies in the future.
