Role in AIMS-2-TRIALS
In close cooperation with another partner of the team, DEMCON, we will develop an Infant Monitoring System, which will be able to measure the activities of infants, who may go on to receive an autism diagnosis, through ‘baby suits’ which can be worn in the home environment. This system will also securely transmit the data to the researchers’ lab. We will develop a complete remote data acquisition, storage and analysis system to enable this. Current techniques require infants to be brought into the lab, which means that their behaviour may not be natural and that measurements can only be for relatively short period of time. With the new techniques that we will develop, researchers will be able to get much better insight into the behaviour of the infants.
