University Hospitals of Tours
Centre Hospitalier Régional Universitaire de Tours, Tours, FranceGeneral Information
The Child Psychiatry Department in the University Hospital of Tours (Centre Hospitalier Régional Universitaire de Tours; CHUT) has a long-standing expertise in the field of autism, in behavioural and neuropsychological assessments as well as in the domain of electrophysiological investigations. Patients, living anywhere in France or in the ‘Region Centre-Val de Loire’, are referred for diagnoses in the Centre of Excellence for Autism (250 children/year, 100 adults/year) or are admitted for care, ensuring an efficient recruitment of patients for research projects. A research team (Team ‘Neurofunctional Psychiatry’, group ‘Autism’, of the UMR 1253, iBrain, Université de Tours, INSERM, France) is integrated into the Child Psychiatry Department and it shares a fully equipped lab with the clinical department (EEG, eye tracking, video), as well as the associated staff.
Role in AIMS-2-TRIALS
CHUT is involved in the autism Biomarkers projects and European Clinical Research Network and will conduct clinical studies in autism spectrum disorder (ASD) to test new medicines using a biomarker-driven stratification approach.
