European College of Neuropsychopharmacology
Stichting Buro Ecnp, Utrecht, NetherlandsGeneral Information
The European College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ECNP) is an independent scientific association comprising of Europe’s largest network of researchers in applied translational neuroscience. The ECNP Congress showcases the world’s best disease- and condition-oriented brain research, annually attracting between 4,000 and 6,000 neuroscientists, psychiatrists, neurologists and psychologists. Through its many topic-specific meetings, educational programmes and junior scientist activities, the College has direct contact with Europe’s core CNS treatment research community. ECNP’s wide range of scientific and educational activities, programmes and events make it the largest non-institutional supporter of applied and translational neuroscience research and education in Europe.
Role in AIMS-2-TRIALS
ECNP will support scientific dissemination, communication and training. ECNP has a variety of tools, platforms and programmes through which this will be facilitated. These include an array of electronic vehicles, such as electronic bulletins, newsletters, social media and push notifications. By means of these vehicles ECNP regularly communicates with a research and clinical community of some 30,000 neuroscientists, psychiatrists, psychologists, neurologists and other relevant stakeholders across Europe. In addition, to reach a broader audience, ECNP has a press officer who liaises with the region’s key media outlets and will publicise project findings. ECNP also collaborates with allied organisations in the biomedical, industrial, and patient sectors, and these channels will also be used to disseminate critical project outcomes. ECNP also publishes a peer-reviewed journal in which the results can be disseminated to key opinion leaders in Europe and worldwide.
