Institut Pasteur

Institut Pasteur, Paris, France

General Information

The Institut Pasteur (IP) is a prestigious non-profit private foundation dedicated to the prevention and treatment of diseases. The multidisciplinary nature of the Paris campus is one of its major strengths. This wide subject coverage encourages cross-discipline collaboration, innovative approaches to emerging scientific questions and experimental approaches. Core facilities are also important components of the institute and make a major contribution to cross-discipline interactions.

Role in AIMS-2-TRIALS

In AIMS-2-TRIALS, Institut Pasteur will specifically provide expertise on the genetic analysis of autism. This group previously identified the first synaptic pathway associated with autism (neuroligins, SHANK). We will perform a deep analysis of the genetic variability of individuals with autism, their relatives and non-autistic individuals. Experts in brain imaging are also present in the group and will participate in analysis of this data.

Pasteur team is also part of the Data Analysis project and responsible for the organisation and storage of all the data generated by the consortium; the handling of this data through a dedicated Information Technology (IT) infrastructure (database, filesystem, bioinformatics tools); and infrastructure to enable sharing this data with collaborators involved in the project.
