Newcastle University hosts an internationally renowned autism research group, which has a strong track record of designing and leading autism randomised controlled trials. The team also work in partnership with UK clinical diagnostic teams and voluntary sector organisations to lead UK autism research databases that facilitate research for people with autism across the life course, and their relatives.
Role in AIMS-2-TRIALS
Newcastle University clinical academics will work to deliver clinical trials, and European research registers/cohorts. The team are involved in the Testing New Medicines project and will help recruitment for the clinical trial investigating medicines for social difficulties.
